Kangri Punya-Bhumi Yatra, 2005
Swami Shraddhanand founded Gurukul
Kangri in 1902, on the piece of field donated by Ch. Aman Singh. But the
grim floods of 1924 compelled to shift the Gurukul to a new place. Since
then Punyabhumi is left untouched. With inspiration of Sh. Vinay Arya
(GS, Delhi Sabha) it was decided to visit this place in the winters of
2005.
On 29 Dec 2005, AryaVeer reached Gurukul Kangdi University. From there
they proceeded with Tractor-Trolly. After a journey of 45 minutes, we
reached the Punyabhumi. The Punyabhumi is surrounded by huge gloomy
Jungle, with rivers on 2 side. The ambience of Punyabhumi was giving a
deviant feeling. At first, AryaVeers hoisted the flag and Camp was
initiated.
In 3 days, AryaVeers conversated on various topics related to Shakha &
Sewa.
In between Acharya Baldev (president, Haryana Sabha), Br. Rajsingh Arya
(President, Delhi Sabha), Sh. Dharmapal Arya (Kendriya Sabha Delhi), Sh.
Swatantra Arya (Chancellor, Gurukul Kangdi University) visited the Camp.
Sh. Swatantra Arya presented the book `MERE PITA' authored by Sh. Indra
Vidya-Vachaspati.
AryaVeers organised morning and evening shakhas under the tree planted
by Swami Shradhanand. AryaVeers rendered voluntary services by cleaning
the Gurukul Bhawan, Residence of Swami Shradhanand and the Kothi of Ch.
Aman Singh. On the night of 30 Dec 2005 AryaVeers visited jungle.
Every Arya shall visit this holy place at least once in a life.
The Camp was convened by Sh.Jagveer Arya, Sh.Brihaspati Arya & Sh.
Manoj Arya.
