Tankara Janm-Bhumi Yatra, 2001Having an ambition to see the Birth
Place of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, 22 Arya Veers left Delhi for Tankara
on Motorcycles and a Tata Sumo on 3 Mar 2005. A warm send-off was given
by Aryajans at Arya Samaj (Anarkali) Mandir Marg, New Delhi to the
AryaVeers leaving for the voyage.
After leaving Delhi, Aryajans were present to welcome the AryaVeers at Gurgaon. Jay Bharat Maruti Ltd., Gurgaon also made special arrangements for the refreshments given to the AryaVeers. The first night halt was in Jaipur City. A warm welcome was ready at Arya Samaj. AryaVeers took dinner & rest for the night in the Arya Samaj and performed Yagna on the morning. After heavy breakfast they restarted their journey. Next halt was Ajmer. AryaVeers visited several Arya Samaj monuments here, including the dying place & funeral place of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati. AryaVeers also visited Paropkarini Sabha. After dinner, night rest, morning Yagna and breakfast at Arya Samaj, AryaVeers left for Beowar. A huge welcome for the AryaVeers was ready at Beowar City. The members & officials of Arya Samaj Beowar gave a never before warm welcome to the journeymen. After dinner, night rest, morning Yagna and breakfast at Arya Samaj, AryaVeers took leave for Udaipur. Reaching Navlakha Mahal in Udaipur gave a majestic feel of presence of Swami Daynand. After dinner, night rest, morning Yagna and breakfast at Arya Samaj, AryaVeers left for further journey. AryaVeers also visited the famous Haldi Ghati War front, where Maharana Pratap sacrificed his life along with his beloved horse Chetak. After Udaipur AryaVeers went through various places including Arya Samaj Ahmedabad. From the Delhi to Tankara, the Arya Samajes situated in between gave a warm welcome to the voyagers, which raised their spirit every time. After reaching Tankara Sh. RamNath Sehgal (Mantri, Tankara Trust) was overwhelmed to see the AryaVeers. The victorious team of AryaVeers was honored by Trust on the stage. Local Aryajans were so impressed, that they invited the Delhi AryaVeers to their homes for lunch. After taking part in the Shobhayatra, AryaVeers went to see the birth place of Swami Dayanand. On the way to Delhi AryaVeers went Gurukul Mount Abu. Despite of the daily journey of 300 Kms, none of the AryaVeers was tired. The team reached Delhi on 12 March 2005. |
